Luminous Watercolors and Giclées
by Donna Greene
My paintings are inspired by living in Santa Barbara. I’m so grateful to live here and draw on my creative muse by seeing my surroundings every day.
I use professional quality watercolor paint, acid free watercolor paper (usually Arches), and either frame my paintings with archival museum quality mats (acid free) or mount them on wood panels and wax the surface to protect them.
Much of my work can be purchased in the form of giclées, fine art prints using archival ink on high quality acid free watercolor paper. It can be hard to tell a giclée from an original. They both last more than a lifetime if treated with care and are kept out of direct sunlight. Giclées don’t decrease the value of an original. If anything, they can increase it. I’m offering my work in this format to make it more affordable to get it into the hands of my clients.
I hope you enjoy my work.
